My Name is Dr. Young-Hee Lee, the president of Korea Anti-Doping Agency.
Korea Anti-Doping Agency(KADA) was established in November 2006 as the only national organization dedicated to preventing doping in sport in Korea. Currently, it is a national anti-doping agency that represents the Republic of Korea, moreover Korea is a board member of World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). KADA contributes to the anti-doping activities as an advanced anti-doping organization, being faithfully compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards.
KADA has actively conducted anti-doping activities such as doping control, anti-doping education and promotion, investigation and International Relations with the aim of protecting athletes from drugs and facilitating a clean sports environment.
Primarily, the mandatory doping test has expanded to student athletes, professional athletes as well as elite athletes. To further develop the relevant skills and knowledge of the doping control officer, we will provide systematic training and improve the conditions for conducting testings in an ideal environment.
Futhermore, KADA has developed online and offline educational materials for athlete support personnel, parents as well as athletes. In addition, we will provide more training to strengthen the competence of KADA’s anti-doping instructors and expand the anti-doping education and outreach program to raise awareness to more athletes and athlete support personnel.
Lastly, by means of intelligence and investigation, KADA will prevent Anti-Doping Rule Violations beforehand and conduct transparent and fair result management.
It is not easy to protect the rights of clean athletes from doping. But it's not impossible for all of you to have a mind of an athlete's family that you care for him/her.
To protect athletes' rights, KADA will share various useful information on the website, always being with you, and will make efforts to take a leap forward as a specialized organization that leads fair sports culture with its excellent skills.
